Adding insult to injury... I want to make cookies

I'm thinking, for Halloween, I'll be a nice co-worker and make cookies. :P I used to do it all the time when I was in school (well, back when I had cool classmates... then again, I never had a totally cool classroom of classmates, I was just ubernice... or uber-taken-advantage-of) so now I'm doing it for work. Might score me some points with those still inclined to believe rumors.

Can you believe that? Someone is so immature and junior high as to spread (and I quote from the Staff Bulletin thingy) "malicious rumors." I had no idea that THOSE were about me. I walked into the break room before my shift started tonight, and this guy is like "So wow, you're the Meredith I've heard so much about?" o.O <-- my face. Color me surprised-- and a number of other things. I had no idea that rumors were a) about me b) bad or c) STILL going around, if they were in fact, as I originally suspected, about me, AND bad. Yeesh. But on the plus side, it looks like (almost?) everyone said that my First Amendement rights were being violated, and whoever had a problem should come up to my face anyway. Well, thanks, I think that's true and right 110%. *waves* Hi guys!

Uhmm... my feet hurt. I worked a LOT today. I got a 30 minute break though, during which I caffeinated myself up (some people would say that's a bad thing... ^^;) and got genki... of course, the Icee machine trying to KILL ME didn't help matters, so I slowly drifted into a "silent, irritated, wanna go home" mood. And now here I am. Kinda still awake, kinda creative. I just ate a peach.

Looks like people still like "What Doesn't Kill You," but so far no mentions of the contests-- which were a) what other anime/manga male characters does Seto Kaiba remind you of; and b) name all the cameo characters I used for the teahcers in the first scene of Part 3. I'm liking the cameo tidbits, so I intend to increase the amount of them... ;) I already have someone in mind for a later part. It's JUST cameo though, not crossover. The people don't actually interact with the characters much, and certainly don't reappear. And in the teachers' case, they're not even the SAME as the characters they're cameoing as... that is, they have the same NAMES as some characters from other animes/mangas, but they're obviously NOT those characters. Does that make any sense?

Err... Mer is loving the book "Bias," and it only strengthens her resolve to become a (shock) HONEST journalist! Even if it means I'm working for a magazine or entertainment or whatever... dammit, it's all about honesty! The world is nothing if it cannot be honest!

X_X I am so tired! Because I stayed up till like, 5am working on "What Doesn't Kill You," Chapter 4 (it's turning out great!) and then I woke up at 6:55 to watch Yu-Gi-Oh... but the signal cut out RIGHT AT THE END! Of course, I knew the episode was going to get concluded at 10:00, so I went back to sleep and woke up for that... and even though the signal was back, reception sucked, and I'm pretty sure my recording does, too. Well, all the more reason to buy the DVDs, I guess. :P If those bakas ever release a bilingual version, that is...

Anyway, so I tried to catch up on as much sleep as possible, but here I am, typing away before I jet in a few minutes. I have to go to the post office and mail The Package, and then go to work... but I have a distinct feeling I'm going to be EARLY (horrendously so) to work again. :P Oh well, maybe I can just nap in the breakroom, if that's the case. ^^;;

That being the case, I'm surviving off the sugar in the maple syrup covering my waffles (which are now in my stomach) and a cup of milk (though milk doesn't have sugar in it, does it?). Wish me luck staying awake for 7.5 straight hours! I half hope I don't get inspired at work like usual, so I can come home and just go to sleep! I work tomorrow too, from 1-830. Amber called and I think I told her otherwise, but that was because I was half-asleep and mostly unaware of what the heck I was talking about. ^^; Sorry girl! I hope your party is a total blast, and I wish I could be there!

It doesn't feel like the weekend to me. So I guess that means that Friday is actually my Monday, meaning today is my Tuesday, and tomorrow's my Wednesday? o_O Or something like that. Great, tired, confused, inspired... And in need of money. Now, not just for personal expenses and fun stuff, but FOOD that I want at the house, my cell phone bill, a blockbuster fee, and lord knows what else. Being an adult sucks. :P
