WOW. Okay, the past day has been just... WOW. Okay, so starting with last night at RTA, got a series of pleasant (and some unpleasant? I don't know, I'll find out tomorrow...) surprises. Like one, Noah and Jeffrey were there, and I swear to god, Noah must have been my good luck charm-- you wouldn't believe it. Shortly after Jer told me about this new bulldozer-coin-ticket game, I played and got the jackpot! Then, when Noah was standing near me while I absently played Wheel of Fortune, I hit the Spin without even trying-- TWICE! I got 60 tickets once, and 300 tickets another time! I also got 125 tickets (not the jackpot, since 1 coin = 10 tickets for the bulldoze-coin-ticket machine) from that game... several hundred tickets that night, and almost enough to get my new lava lamp already! WOW! *_* People even gave me their tickets!
Still no luck with Crazy Taxi though, I suck. Didn't DDR (my legs have been hurting a lot lately) or anything... Beatmania is finally working again though, I noticed. While reading the end of my fourth novel, "Second Sight," I was approached by two ladies looking for-- well, Shilo. Apparently she's been missing for 7 days. I told them I was heading to a friend's house that might know where she is-- they knew I was referring to Amber, and said Amber hadn't seen Shilo in that time. Hm. So I really don't know what to make of this situation, but, having had runaway friends and friends that got kidnapped and then murdered, I just hope she's okay. That's the honest truth.
Yesh, there was some drama last night, but whatever, we're over it now, I hope. Got my jelly-filled donuts, so I'm happy. So it was after 2am when George, Grace, Amber and I finally got to Amber's house, after dropping off Noah and Jeffrey in Marin. Grace left, but the rest of us stayed... I was too sleepy to have Amber deal with my hair, so we crashed on Santos' bed. Next morning, I go with Amber to her finale over at the SFCC, which looks like a very cool place... reminds me of several camps I've been at, kind of like Claire Lilenthal and Camp Chai all in one. Frick was there, as well, so Amber was fairly... attentive to him. She improvised, along with the rest of her group, for her Presentation of Learning, but she was herself and did a great job, like I knew she would. ^_^
The thank yous and such took so long afterwards that Crews 37/41 and its parents/friends couldn't get much food-- all that was left was this weird salad. I got some popcorn (good, but kinda stale) and chocolate cake... some Coke to drink. Sat in the sun while Amber talked and hung with her friends and affixed herself to Frick's hip. -.- I can understand being happy for not seeing him for most of the summer, I just hope she doesn't go and get herself hurt again. What can I say, I'm playing the older sister role again.
When we finally left, it was with a bunch of Amber's friends to go to this place called the Fat Slice in the Haight. We stopped by Amber's house first, to our surprise seeing Grace there... but of course, there wasn't enough room in George's car for everyone, so we arranged to meet her there while the rest of us from the SFCC would take the bus. We stopped at Jamba Juice first, and downstairs at the plaza, a trash can was on fire, so I called 911, as per Amber's advice... ^^; That was kind of freaky, to be honest, but I'm proud of myself for being so calm, even though it wasn't like, a huge situation with bleeding people or buildings on fire. ^^; Took the 33 to the Haight, and proceeded to want, want, want. That's my problem whenever I go places like the Haight, I see all this stuff I want!
There's these two cool stores in particular I saw lots of clothes, accessories, and books that I wanted... ~_~ Wai, I must get a job so I can blow my paycheck there! All the Bad Girl books, and these journals, and... and...! I did give in at this one store though, and bought some lace-topped sheer thigh-highs. It's something I've been wanting for a while, and I scored them for only $4, but the shopkeeper was kind of an ass. Still, cute clothes in there... I'd go back, if only there weren't other stores I didn't check out that I was sure didn't have the same thing.
Also went into Amoeba, ALMOST bought the FY OAV, "Illusions," for $5, but refrained when I realized it was *shudder* DUB! So I have a few bucks left to my name, and here we are, back at Amber's... I don't think I know everyone's name yet, but we're all fairly cool with one another, talkin' and chillin' and stuff. Amber's tired, so she'll pro'lly take a nap before we dye my hair. Hopefully I can get a ride home tonight, since I have much SMRFFing to do. ugh, QfV is unlikely to come out, but I might be able to swing TF6 or The Gift, which was an idea for a co-fic Sailor Peace and I had a long time ago. I think it was her, anyway. o_O
*yawn* I'm pretty tired myself. Going now... hopefully hear from me later. I just hope Mom hasn't left a shitload of dishes or things for me to complain about.
