Ah, I originally wrote this big long rant on a fashion disaster experienced yesterday morning, but I forgot to hit POST, and then Cassie shut down the computer... >_> BLAH!

IN SUMMARY
Suspect: Kristina Hashimoto

Crime Scene: Choir Class

Date/Time: 5/13/03 - 7:42am

Description: Suspect was standing in the way while I was attempting to get on the risers to my position in the middle of the second platform. I couldn't help but notice that, in the process of avoiding stepping on her feet, suspect was wearing gold-colored stilettos with open toes. When standing behind said suspect, I realized with disgust how badly her outfit did not match.

Further Description: Suspect had one thing going for her; wavy hair. But she had a huge white fuzz in it that I was SOOO tempted to pick out, but a) she's not my friend and she'd probably bitch at me for even TRYING to do her a favor; b) her friends, some of which ALSO had fuzzes in their hair, didn't say anything. So I guess that part was okay. And besides that, her hair looked uber-greasy (not shiny-wet, I mean greasy. Like WAX!). Continuing on-- she had a fuzzy sweater that was a sort of orangey-tan; somewhat darker than her own skin color, but still nice. And it would have looked good with the gold stillettos too, EXCEPT she was wearing denim capri pants! Or something. I know her pants weren't white, but I can say without a doubt that her pants did NOT match her sweater, did NOT match her shoes. And worse, she had this silver ring on her right hand's ring finger (if it was a promise ring or somesuch from her BF, that would have been one thing, but those SHOES were a disaster!) and everyone knows you NEVER mix silver and gold when it comes to accessories. Plus, her toenails were this narsty metallic pastel-purple color, which didn't go with anything at all. Ugh!

I know this is so superficial of me, but from my POV, I was very serious about fashion for a long time. I went to classes, attended Academy of Art College, stayed in contact with FIDM and other fashion colleges... and it wasn't until high school that I discovered how much I loved Journalism. But I still pride myself on my fashion sense, even if sometimes it doesn't look like I apply it to myself.

*cough* Anyway, so I'm dateless for prom. Lonnie doesn't like dances, and that's okay, because to be honest, I think going WITH a guy would be quite awkward. I just don't like many of the guys at Wash (save J.Po, but there's a snowball's chance in hell that I'm asking HIM to Prom!) Steph and all have decided we're going to have a pre-and-post-prom thing at her house, and maybe we'll go someplace like Twin Peaks afterwards. So in short, if I had a date, it would be uber-awkward because I'd be with my other stag friends all night, and was planning on hanging with them before AND after the prom. Funny thing is, my horoscope warned me about this-- it said I would try to be the life of the party, planning things and such, but I had to pay attention to my date. Well, now I'm dateless, so...

Other thing was, when I talked to a drunken Mike the other night (and it was kind of cute, in a twisted sort of way) he said that if his school were out and he could come out sooner, he'd be my date for prom, which was sheer flattery. So I have to thank him for that, because when he was here, he always waxed eloquent about how he went all-out for the proms he went to. MUSH.

Anyway, so our school has FINALLY released SOME information on Prom. The theme is "Bella Notte: A beautiful night." At first, I thought it was that 98 degrees song, but that's "Una Noche." Anyway, I went to PromAdvice.com, and they have a SHITLOAD of stuff for Prom, like theme kits, links to official sites and such... makes me wish I'd been on student government (like I'd ever get elected) so I could help out with the Prom. So all you juniors out there, bring these links to your officers so they plan everything WAAAY out in advance! It'll save everyone trouble! As for the theme, it's pretty good... foriegn language ones are always pretty nice, and it's better than something cheesy like "Unforgettable" or "Endless Memories." >_<

George Washington High School Senior Prom
"Bella Notte: A Beautiful Night"
May 31st, 2003
The Hyatt @ Fisherman's Wharf
$55 GWHS Seniors with ASB stickers
$60 GWHS Seniors w/o ASB stickers (what I'm paying: only $5 less than what I paid for my yearbook!)
$65 Non-GWHS students or Non-seniors

Not that bad, though I wish they had some sort of deal for couples. Why I'd wish for that, I have no idea. Blah.

Anyway, JUNIORS:
promadvice.com - advice. duh.
stumpsprom.com - everything from themes to candles and frames!
promoceans.com - see if you can snag a post-prom ride on a sunrise cruise!

There's tons more... BUT I have to go see if Koski has Windows XP, and I also have to see what happened to Cassie so I can give her the poster for Mayfest-- her parents are so cool; they work for Village Pizzeria on Van Ness and are giving us a bunch of free pizza to sell. We get to keep all the profits!

^_^ And Steph and I also spent 6th period walking and talking, putting up the anime club posters. I have to get the money for the "Labryinth of Nightmare" boxed set, among other prizes tomorrow... also go to the last FX meeting, and go to Stonestown to a) check on my prom dress and b) get a bunch of free stuff... gawd, I love coupons! ^_^

I'm so zonked, and glad I have no committments today, aside from returning a bunch of waaay overdue DVDs. Time to GO!

When there's nothing better to do, sleep. When there's nothing better to drink, have cider. ^_^ And we're all happy campers. (Ooh, I want to go camping this summer. Who wants to come!?) I've been asleep again since I got home... a little after 4pm. I took so long at school because I was working on the flyers for Journalism's pizza booth at Mayfest. I still have tomorrow before I need to get cracking on the Anime Booth. But we have almost all our supplies already at school-- all that's left is setting everything up, buying the prizes, posting the rules/signups in 231 (I posted the posters today, so hopefully people will start flooding in to sign up for the duelist tournament tomorrow), and assembling the booth. Oh, and bringing ALL my art supplies from home. I need a ride on Friday! But, fat chance of THAT ever happening.

Gah, before I forget I gotta email myself that damned article. And I forgot to email myself all the names of the seniors... the Photoshop at school is archaic, and I can't make the text in the shape of an Eagle like I originally wanted... I tried to just settle for text OVER an eagle, but I can't get the text to justify. So that's one more thing to do in a hurry, especially since we're supposed to send the paper out by Friday. ;_;

Okay, so that's sent out. Talking to Jackson about the Buffy/Angel thing happening these past weeks-- I guess if you miss ANY Angel, everything gets confusing. Because I have no idea why the hell Angel is okay with macking with Buffy (not that I'm complaining-- I'm a Buffy/Angel 'shipper all the way!) when supposedly "the love of his life," Cordy, is still in a coma. And what was up with Lilah coming back, and Wolfram and Hart offerring them their greatest dreams...? I missed the finale; it only recorded 2 minutes! ;_; DAMN! Why can't Angel be on the Sunday Easy View? -.-;

for girls only: females, rejoice! )

Gah, working on GoldenFlora still. I got Himiko's help with some of the iFrame-ness, but she admitted that she really didn't know all that much. However, at the bus stop (source of all inspiration) I thought of just combining the right and left frames, and putting the image and the iFrame within a table on the index2.html page so everything would align properly. It looks like it's working so far, so the only thing left is to add one more row to the table and put some sort of nice bordering within it, so the end of the Usagi image doesn't look so sharp where it's cut off. Or I could just modify the bottom of it or something. You can check out my progress here.

I swear there's going to be major overdue fines on all the DVDs. I guess I can't do the rental thing-- I mean, I'm good about things from FX, but... >_> I guess I'm never awake/undistracted enough to watch stuff and then return it. I won't be able to watch Scotland, PA after all; not unless I get offline and watch it NOW... even then, I won't be able to return the videos until tomorrow afternoon. THANK GOD Thursday's tomorrow... I mean, I'm pretty excited about the last meeting of FX, going to Stonestown (shock! someone excited about going to Stonestown! What is the world coming to!?) and such. And of course, seeing Lonnie. *blush* Hopefully I won't screw up again and be rude. I'm still in the process of learning WHEN TO KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT! ;_;

Okay, I feel like being uber-nice to all of you, even those I a) don't see often/ever or b) those I only know online. So here's a present for you...
Go here: http://www.subscriberdirect.com/self/0305/reelthing.cfm?d=2&m=2&y=85
And fill out some piddly information about yourself-- you'll get a free pass worth TWO admissions to a preview screening of "Bruce Almighty" starring Jim Carrey! It starts at 7pm on 5/22, so be sure to plan your day around it-- and bring a friend! Just make sure you have a printer loaded and on, because the passes are printed directly online. For all the SF Bay Area folks present, the showing is at the Metreon-- I'll be there around 6:00 or earlier, so if you know me and I see you, you can hop in the line with me!

*yawn* I'm amazingly tired, even though I slept for... what, 4, 5 hours? What a nap. Maybe I should watch Scotland, PA now. Mom's not home, so I can't nag her for the money for the dance concert on Friday... >_> I really want to go! And speaking of concerts, my final choir concert is on 5/21-- so please, everyone that has never been to one of my concerts (and even those that have and want to see lots of improvement and cooler songs!) then please come! The concert is at my school (George Washington High School; 600 32nd Ave; SF, CA, 94121) in the auditorum... starting at 7:30pm, with seating until 7:45. Tickets are only $5, and since many visual and performing arts programs are being cut due to next year's budget cuts, please please please come! Not to mention I'm graduating, and so many people are moving away elsewhere for college... *sniff sniff* PLEASE COME!!

Oh, and OH MY GOD. There are now officially 3 software programs I WANT BADLY-- unfortunately, one of them won't come out till 2004. I guess if I keep this as a record, then someone can check it out in the distant future and get it for my 19th birthday. But that's a long time from now... ANYWAY:
-Myst III: Exile
-The Sims Expansion: Superstar
-Sam & Max 2 !!!!!!!!!!!! I never beat the original, but I still have it... I just think that my sound card isn't compatible or whatnot, since it's such an old game (do they do rereleases of games for newer computers? Or is that like a DVD-only thing?)

Wah, finally posted a bunch of random conversations on NBoR. IM conversations that is, in the Champagne Thread. And hey, we finally beat the old record of the most number of people on the board at a given time! YAYNESS! ^_^ But I think the chat died, and it's kinda dead quiet and lonely on this end... aside from my FY music anyway... >_> Most of the IM convos I posted were with people foriegn to the RTA crowd, which makes me a little sad because I'd love to talk to everyone more often. *sniff*

Gah, Himiko wants me to work on Hinata 120%. It's been a while... I better get doing that.
