I trounced Tristan in DoR, but Mai whomped me. She had those Harpie's Lady Sisters, so what was I supposed to do?! Gah, time to find some strategy... I have a Zombie/Fiend deck, with a couple of oddballs mixed in...

Anyhow, I spent the last half of my shift coming up with a bunch of ideas for whatever title my DoR fic willl have-- and it's pretty planned out thus far, kind of like an AU sort of WDKY... Thus far, it goes something like this:

I've got several chapter titles already, in no particular order:
* Love Blooms (Love Blossoms)
* War Wounds and Battle Scars
* Lost Time
* The Legendary Duelist
* The Destined Ones

Anyway, so it opens up in 1495, at Stonehenge, near Salisbury, England. The intro is roughly the same as you get when you start a new game-- war is being waged by two clans/houses-- that of Tudor (Yugi) and that of Rosenkreuz (Seto). Yugi's side bears the red rose, but has been exiled to France and has little power under its wing. However, Yugi comes from a line of Welsh nobility, and is thus the rightful heir to the English throne.

Seto's side, the Rose Crusaders (Seto calls himself C. Rosenkreuz, but he strongly objects to anyone calling him anything other than Seto... which is *weird* IMHO) bear the white rose sigil, and hope to get Richard 3 (a guy who stunningly resembles "Forbidden Memories'" Heishin) on the throne.

Now me, being the Seto fangirl I am, decided to take Seto's side... and the plot came from there.

Enter Anzu Mazaki-- the Legendary Rose Duelist. The Red Rose Clan has hired Simon McMooran (Paradox), a High Druid, to summon her from a distant time and aid them. Unfortunately, Anzu has her own agenda, and when Seto Rosenkreuz shows up, she goes with him instead. This is all baffling and such, but no one even knew the Legendary Duelist was even FEMALE until Anzu spoke and explained her choice. She crushes a red rose in her hand, allowing its thorns to pierce her and draw blood-- staining the lighter petals. She drops the dead blossom to the ground and walks away with Seto.

She doesn't say what her name is, but tells Seto to call her "Rose." She's cloaked in black and has her face concealed, and remains a mystery...

I could tell ya more, but it would spoil. What I can say is that Anzu's "quest" involves a good deal of time traveling, including the following years... (if anyone knows of any major wars during or near these years, let me know! It can be anywhere in the world!)

* BCE = Before Common Era. It used to be just "B.C." meaning "Before Christ." And instead of A.D. for "Anno Domini," I use "CE" which means Common Era. CE years are "present millenia."

1020 BCE - Shadow Wars (Egypt)
517 BCE
236 BCE
14 BCE
489 CE
769 CE
992 CE
1495 CE - Rose Wars (England/France)
1776 CE - Revolutionary War (America)
1998 CE - Battle City (Japan)

And, this is a purely hypothetical question, but if the Trojan war had actually taken place (did it???) then what year would it have been? ISH.

So it's an Anzu-centric fic, with a lot of Action, Drama, and Angst... and of course, Romance. ;)

The [livejournal.com profile] duelmonster_rpg just got a bit weird. It's been fun running amok or so, since there's very few members, but... well, Joey-- er, Jounouchi just got a journal. But "his" SN is "joeys_da_man" and he calls himself "Joey Wheeler." When I joined, the head specifically said we were using Japanese names-- it's why I picked "blue_eyes_anzu" as a name. I don't want to rag on the player or anything, but-- well, it kind of ruins the "linearity" of what we have so far. I'd hate to tell the person to delete the journal, but it doesn't make sense to have Yuugi, Atem, Seto, Anzu, and Malik, but JOEY.

Gah, even adultfanfiction.net is proliferated with yaoi. ;_; I didn't even go to the yaoi section, and-- gawd! Damnit, I want to make an archive strictly for R and NC-17 Yu-Gi-Oh Het couplings. Even if they're whack couples (Marik/Anzu, anyone?) I'd rather THAT than a bunch of yaoi... *sigh* I just wish I knew the PHP that FFnet uses. ;_; Otherwise, I'd rely on email submission.

Oh yeah, and this is a review I got for my old and unfinished DDR fic, "Goodbye, Hello, Who Are You?"
Azurite,

The following review has been submitted to: Goodbye, Hello, Who Are You? Chapter: 5

From: Zer0Kataru()

There are a few possibilities as to how you heard the uncensored Blow My Whistle Bitch:
1. You were playing Stepmania and you have my uncensored stepfile
2. You were watching someone play DDR7 and they were singing along uncensoredly
3. There was a DDR machine at a nightclub you were at and the nightclub was blasting the uncensored version
4. You were playing a hacked 7th mix
5. You're going crazy.

LOL.

I'm the kind of person who apparently can't play a game without a strategy guide. ;_; I'm such a cheater, but in YGO, where there's fusions with no explanations, and combos with spell cards... o_O Well, let's just say one can confuse easy.

Okay, back to fanfiction and ish.

I looked up some stuff on the web and they say that according to Iliad and the Odyssey, if the Trojan War did occur, then it must've occured sometime around 1250 BC (or BCE).

Here's what another guy said:

"In 1870, a man named Heinrich Schliemann found what is thought to be Troy. Though some of his work was faked, it was generally agreed that he had found the famous city of Troy.

What Schliemann found did not look like the ruins of a great city. He found a patch of rubble barely 200 x 150 meters large. However, it was made of nine cities, placed progressively on the remains of one another. The seventh of these, destroyed around 1250 BC, appeared to be the legendary city of Troy and, with it, a Trojan War."
