Try ENGRISH! :P I've been searching for the "correct" version of Jade (from Sweetbox)'s lyrics to "Real Emotion" from the US release of FFX-2 for a while now, and everywhere I go, there's a million different versions! Maybe because Koda Kumi also did an English release, but it was never used for the game; only her Japanese version was.
And so not finding anything remotely like the MP3 I have of Jade singing, I've decided to make the attempt to transcribe on my own. Not having the game, I have no idea whether my version of the MP3 is even the one from the game, let alone the correct lyrics (don't they have subtitles in that cut scene?). So... here I go!

¹ Kinda incoherent; I thought I heard a syllable between "But" and "here," and also "long" sort of sounded like "loss."
² At first I thought it was "plagued," but now I'm not sure it's either. It does begin with a P-sound and end with an "ed" sound, though.
³ I'm not sure if she's actually saying "without" or not; it sounds like "with," but she never finishes the "out," though I don't know what else it could be. Maybe 'And?'
4 Could also be "go and save me," but that wouldn't make as much sense.
5 More incoherency; it sounded like "I'll wait forever breath." Doesn't make much sense, but then it occurs to me that the song might not HAVE to.
6 I hear the "Now" bit definitely, but the "Before" isn't so sure; I do hear a "for" sound though. Whatever the word, it's brief.
The biggest issues with the song-- is it "I can hear you," or "I can't hear you?" The singers (Jade AND Koda Kumi both) put heavy emphasis on their 'N's in English and Japanese, as it's one of those odd syllables (Japanese syllables are almost ALWAYS consonants followed by a vowel sound; 'n' is the only exception). So it just could be a heavy 'n' or it could be a demi-failed attempt at pronouncing the 'n't' sound that contractions have.
Since it is LeBlanc singing, and not really Yuna, she's more likely singing to the fans rather than Tidus, as was originally presumed about the song... I don't know if Yuna herself ever sings the song in the game, though. Heck, I don't even know how or why LeBlanc ended up with Yuna's dress-sphere!
* Gaaah, turns out that the version I thought was by Jade is really Koda Kumi's English version. :P And the MP3 I have now is a direct rip from the game, so the quality is less than stellar. I might be able to get a clean version-- if a soundtrack for FFX-2 USA ever comes out. This version was never actually used in the game, only on Koda Kumi's "Come With Me" single. Foooo.
Wow. It's like Sailor Bacon said, "Simple and Clean," all over again. Let's just all blow our brains out over Japlish/Engrish...
At least Utada Hikaru speaks English. The only reason why S&C didn't make sense was because it was the theme for Kingdom Hearts. :P At least "Hikari" made sense for the Japanese release!
Uh... I never got a call back from Joanna. So I'm going to call work at 10-something tomorrow when I wake up, ask if I still have a shift tomorrow. :P Something tells me I will... which is sad, because I'm actually in the mood for getting things done. Like my laundry. And cleaning my room. :P Offer of $50 still stands for anyone who wants to spend a day with Mer and clean my room! ^_^ Free food, too. :D
I started this weird project of sorts; going through FFnet and trying to find decently written, coherent, non-yaoi, bash-free, canon-ish Seto/Tea fics. The filter is basically for all Romance genre fics rated G-R, of any length, with the Update Date as the Date Ascending. So far I've found a few, but... mostly icky yaoi. I'm sorry, yaoi for some fandoms is well and good (FAKE much!?) but for Yu-Gi-Oh!? And for Seto and Joey?! *cries* It's HORRIBLE!!! ;_; I think I speak for all the Kazuki Takahashis out there when I say "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!" :P Sorry. For that fandom... euch. It just pisses me off.
Anyway, I'm on page 45 of 207. Hahaha...
Back to WDKY8. Still no help from the PHP-Princess boards about why I keep getting the error. I don't want to have to switch to another script, not after I spent so much time getting things to look right and work-- and the script actually DID work for a minute! :P I think I must have done something wrong, so maybe I need one-on-one help from Daynah (I wish). It's either that or look for other boards for support, or be a bit more patient. :P Grrrr...
