Poem: Allow Me This

Allow me this sorrow
Permit me this pain
It'll last quite a while
But be gone once again

My smiles shall return
Sincere they shall be
Inside only joy
For us, friends three

But in this moment
In this time
Allow me this sorrow
These tears
This pain will subside

I cannot see the future
And the past is but a storm
Of turbulent emotions
And mistakes made
But there is always brightness ahead
As you have taught me so well

I shall seek it out
When I have the strength to rise
Once more

Mm, I originally wanted it to be a song, but I couldn't force myself to write the music for it. Blah.

Yeah, I wrote it myself... I do that a lot. I have a lot of songs I should honestly write music for and compile into a "CD" of sorts. Mm, thanks, Fin. =D
