I just finished reading the FanLib.com: One Year Later post on fanthropology, and I gotta say... my initial reservations about why FanLib sucked so hard are gone. I re-read their entire FAQ, the About Us page, and the Terms of Service-- and I applaud them for the latter, because even though it uses that oh-so-annoying legal CAPSLOCK OF DOOM!, generally it's in plain English and makes sense.

I'm honestly thinking of signing up, and not just to prevent my name from being besmirched there by a plagiarist at some later date.

Anyone with compelling reasons NOT to, please step forward.

I think I might have to look deeper into this. I remember the original degredation that went down (Side note: It's been a YEAR???!!!!), but I must say, I never felt threatened or whatever. I always figured if I got a cease and desist letter, I'd keep writing, I just wouldn't post.

Anyway, I just got through the "short" form of the year-in-review-of-fanlib-drama . . . well, got through SCANNING it. Heh. I'm gonna go check it out in more depth this weekend and possibly join.

The Pit of Voles is beginning to grate on my nerves just a little more than usual. I think I'm just getting old.
