It's a love and hate relationship with the airlines these days

It's hard to look forward to flying with terrorists running amok, a bazillion things apparently getting forbidden by the TSA, and United Airlines in general just SUCKING. But hopefully they can make it up to me, because they gave me a $100 online certificate. Problem is, I have to redeem it (that is, book travel) by Jan 31, 2007. I can travel anytime from Jan 1, 2006 until Jan 31, 2008. I'm thinking I should probably use the $100 for Spring Break '07, even though it isn't during my birthday (boo!).

But where to go? Who to visit?

Any ideas?

Well, I definitely plan on going places in Japan. But I have this $100 travel certificate good for travel (presumably in the U.S. but I didn't check all the details), so long as I book the travel before 1/31/07. So what I was thinking is, where to go for Spring Break '07 (my next vacation time)?

Hehe, Northwest gave me $25 to use by Sept 07 b/c my luggage had to come on a second plane from Detroit along with 10 or 15 other ALTs b/c the plane had too much luggage weight. Isn't it nice when they do that? Too bad it wasn't more like yours!!

Eh, what got me irked was how Scott was on the same flight with me and HE got $200. But he had to use his over the phone, so there was a booking surcharge that he wouldn't have gotten over the 'Net.
