Okay, to be picky, I actually consider anime (as in, Japanese anime) different from what most people consider "cartoons," mainly because of a difference in style. Not just art, but the manner of storytelling, the characterizations, the accepted types of plot. But for the sake of this meme, "anything goes."

Oh heck yeah! You were pretty heartless if you didn't cry the first time you saw the Sailor Moon S movie, or the end of the Pharaoh's Memory arc (and I mean *THE END* not all the other episodes leading up to that). But YMMV. :P
