What Doesn't Kill You, Chapter 5 Review Replies
Even more review replies, taken directly from the page at Darkness Rising. These review replies would have appeared in Chapter 6. I don't include the actual reviews; go to FFnet or MMorg and look at the Review History if you want to see them. If people start reading the fic from the beginning and reviewing for the earlier chapters, I'll update this (and the other) chapter page(s) with replies to them as I see fit. (If this is starting to seem familiar, it's because I'm rehashing the intro. Come on, you all know the real meat's below.)
Katsuhito Sage - Hey, thanks for your kind review! I'm not sure if I've seen the plot done before, excepting the bit with Téa's parents dying, but I'm trying to be as original as possible. More twists and turns abound! Keep your eyes peeled!
Mamono - Hehe, you know you rulez. ^.~ As for a scene in WDKY, I'd *adore* you even more if you did a fanart... but I'll leave the scene up to you. I've got several chapters coming out soon, so if you like a particular scene, feel free to draw it! I loved the last one, and might try to do a snow-scene where that would work. o_O Er, at least, that's what it looked like to me... >_> Coulda been wrong... ^_^ I'm making a lot of faces, ne? Téa Fan - Glad to know I'm not the only Téa fan out there! Whoo-hoo! Are you still stuck to your chair? Darn sticky seats... ^^;; Hehe.. Thanks for the reviews! Every chapter... wow. ^_^ It really means a lot to know just why people read the fic, and what they think needs improvement. So thank you very much! =D
DragonTamer101 - I figured some people would be surprised to see another chapter so soon, but the truth is, I have an abundance of brain juice! ^^;; Er, gross image. Anyway, my muse won't leave me alone-- I have a ton of ideas for this fic and this fandom (Yu-Gi-Oh) and so I just want to keep writing until I get it done! That would make me so proud (finishing what I start, for once...) Thank you much for the compliments, and I hope to update TJOY soon... La-Azul-Rai - Wow, glad you liked it! I'm sure Seto would be glad (in his own Kaiba-ish way) that you agree with him... Thanks for reviewing again, and I'm glad you liked the chapter, even though it was pretty short and didn't have any straight angst or fluff. ^^; Sorry about your internet connection though... s'happened to me before, too. :P The outfit thing will end up being semi-big in here... I love the Jacques Mode character I created, and Kaiba's sense of "fashion" pisses me off enough to make Téa gorgeous. There'll be more fashion-type moment soon enough. Thanks for complimenting my PN... my pen-name's based off of a gemstone though-- where's yours from? ^_^
QueenDragonGoddess - Well, ^^;; Hehe, when I said 'short,' I meant for that chapter. Compared to my others, Chapter 5 was about 17.000 words (including all the crap I put at the top and bottom) while most of the other chapters bordered on 30.000 or more. ^^;; So that's short to me. I judge the length of my fics by how small the scroll bar gets...

I think I'm in the boat with a lot of girls who watched too much Disney when they were little, and dreamed of meeting a prince, wearing the pretty dress... ^^;; Who knows, maybe I'm crazy. BTW, Téa's dress is based off of the one Anastasia wore in the 20th Century Fox animated movie. She'd look good in it, ne? I want to try and getting a picture of Téa in it, but I have no scanner to scan my art with...
Anywho, it's always a pain to get the drunken-guy to be in-character, but since it's Seto, who has very few established traits (stubborn, determined, power-mad, reticent) he's pretty malleable in terms of character. :D The hardest thing about Chapter 4 had to be Kaiba's speech though... X_X
And as for Mai, I just LOVE her character. My second favorite after Téa, of course... then again, there aren't many girls in the series to pick from...

I will remember THAT for the rest of my life. Unless someone hits me on the head with a brick, but yeah. ^_^ Would you believe that I can't bring myself to write REAL steam? I need to work up more nerve... *wanders off to check out your fics*
