What Doesn't Kill You, Chapter 1 Review Replies

Unlike my last post, which incorporated the reviews, the older chapter review replies will JUST be replies. If you want to read the reviews themselves, you can go to FFnet and go to the very beginning of the review history.

These review replies initially appeared in Chapter 2.

LadyDragon 636 - Hehe, let's hear you say that to Kaiba's face. I think he'll give the same reaction as before. 'SWEET!? That's not used for guys like me. That's used for kids... like... like MOKUBA!'

Amor - I <3 You! Thanks so much for agreeing with me-- I find it very difficult to sift through 36 pages of supposed 'romance continuation' fics that are out of nowhere, contorting these characters into sex-fiends and yaoi-maniacs. o_O How sad. Thanks for your kind review-- and the first for this fic from MMorg!

Candace - Thanks, I will keep updating!

Jessica, Queen of Games - You R0XoRz my S0XoRz. In other words, YOU ARE COOL! =D Thanks much for your review.

JoeysGal - Whoo, props to you, the second reviewer from MMorg! This *is* going to be a Téa/Seto fic, since I've gotten quite attached to that pairing. It's ironic, it's not really canon, but somehow I see it working. :P While I used to think T/S fics were common, I can't seem to find them nowadays. I hope this one meets with your approval!

WHOOHOO! I got the first part entirely done in ONE SITTING! And I know I have work later today, and other things to do, but who needs sleep when you're haunted by a deliciously wonderful plot bunny? Or... whatever you call plot ideas that refuse to leave you behind!?

Don't worry (do you?) about my finishing "The Joke's On You..." I will! I've got Part 2 almost done, and Parts 3 and 4 almost plotted out entirely-- but this fic was too nice and juicy to pass up writing.

But I definitely enjoyed writing this-- and yes, there will be more! But I'm not a review-whore, like some people, this will continue regardless... just know that, again, I'm not a big fan of the yaoi/yuri couplings in YGO. Yugi or Yami/Anzu, or Kaiba/Anzu (insert dub names as you please) are just more canon than anything else.

Finally, as for Téa's angst-festing and all, I should say that I wasn't taking TOO many artistic liberties with her character, or at least with the teenage psyche in the face of trauma. I use big words to essentially say, "Been there, done that." So for the first part of this fic, I sort of see myself in Téa, but that's about where it ends. This is NOT a wannabe Mary-Sue or anything of the sort. I detest such fics.
