Succumb to the trends of the masses
So I've gone and done it-- signed up for TheFaceBook.com, that is. And within a few minutes of updating my profile and searching CSUN and GWHS friends, guess who I found?
Not just Cunningham, ooooh no! I found Chun-Bear, too! (Remember that nickname we gave to him, Eva? Well, I think his GF at the time actually gave it to him, but we just thought it was funny.) I've seen other people I know, but I'm not really "friends" with-- Erin Chan, Michael Chua, Selena Chu, and so on. I'm going to keep browsing and pretty much add anyone that I ever got along remotely well with. ^_^ I used my "Dangerously Cute" picture for my profile again, so who knows what kind of reaction that'll get? Heeeee...
Anyhow, I'm here at home munching on the remnants of some macaroni, before I head to the Sundial at 7pm and work on tomorrow's online issue, plus fix the index pages for today (and tomorrow's) issues. I haven't gotten any inflamed calls as of yet, so they must not know that I sort of skimmed the top yesterday night. But then, I'm a) a freshman with lots of classes to worry about, and b) not so totally nocturnal that I can be awake and at school from 7am till 10pm or later. FORGET IT! I still have to look into content-management systems for these guys.
In other news...
- still waiting for exam results. I'll give it till Friday before I call.
- got an optometry appointment for next Thursday at 2:50pm. I want to get new glasses with clip-on shades, so I can actually go driving around (some day in the distant, distant future) without worrying about photo sensitivity.
- my eye is improving, and my psycho-optometrist at school has not assigned me another money-sucking appointment. However, if the infection/bumps in my eye aren't entirely gone by Saturday, I should call and make an appointment for Monday. -_-;
I'm still wrestling with the computer. Whenever I open Outlook Express through Firefox, it opens up an identity with NONE of my old messages and folders, but it has my account settings (that mysteriously work despite the whole weird SpamKiller configuration) and so downloads messages. But will I get those messages when I open OE6 again, via the standard menu? I'm checking them all now, just in case. ^^;
*sigh* I feel like I just have no time anymore, and we're only two weeks into the school year. It's not that I'm stressed, I think, it's just another case of Mer Biting Off More Than She Can Chew. At least I enjoy the majority of my classes (no math!) and everything. Once I get my stipend from the Sundial, we'll see where everything goes.
...You know, it just occurred to me that there are other people that went to Wash before I got there. People that knew my sister, and therefore people I might want to find. Class of '95. Rayanna, and Kim B. Lee? I wonder if they'll be on facebook. Hmm...
How do you hook up a DDR pad to your computer? I mean, to play Stepmania or somesuch program? I have a USB to PS/2 (one of those round plugs, sort of like a mouse or a keyboard) that plugs into my computer (the round side) and the USB (to my PS2) but I'm not sure how my DDR pad works into all that, and what has to be turned on. Help me out here!

Oy?
Oh, I had a weird dream last night/this morning with you in it. We were at some lady's house, and she had a toddler and a furry blue cat, with the fur dyed so that it said 'UCLA' in yellow on the side. Toward the end of the dream, I think half the cat got shaved, and the UCLA turned out to be embroidered?
Anyway, you were lounging on the hardwood floors of this place looking sulky, but the cat liked you. o_O That's about all I remember.
